Be on guard.
Stand firm in the faith.
Be courageous.
Be strong.

Lydia's Workplace Continued
Skillins Greenhouse
Although it is the end of summer - especially in Maine - there were still many pretty flowers and bushes at Skillins.
It looks like Lydia is giving Grandpa some greenhouse information.
Sister/brother hug before we left for the Myers' home.
We need some ground cover for the memory garden behind our house so I bought these two varieties.
I wanted to give you an idea of how far Lydia has to walk to work. The mail box on the left is the Myers. The building between the trees is Skillins.

Lydia's Workplace
When traveling from Hannah's workplace to where Lydia works, I recognized the area where my friend Michelle's Photography Studio in located.
When I saw a car outside, I just had to stop to see if she was inside.
She was busy with a photo shoot so after a quick hug I watched her at work.
Thanks Michelle for allowing me to observe you capturing shots of a little girl's second birthday.
I know why people in your area choose you.

From there we went to Skillins Greenhouse where our granddaughter Lydia works.
Lydia began our tour by watering some of the flowers next to the entrance and garden supply area.
This is one of her responsibilities.
There were so many photo opportunities.
I love the atmosphere of greenhouses.
These are not peppers but a decorative plant. Lydia warned me not to taste one. ![]()
The next section was outside.
Perennial plants and ground cover
This was a new flower for me.
More of Lydia's workplace tomorrow night.
Visiting Hannah's Workplace
Bath, Maine
We thoroughly enjoyed getting a VIP tour of the ReStore Outlet Store in Bath - just a few miles from where the Myers live.
Though I was familiar with Habitat for Humanity, I was not aware that they have outlet stores throughout the country until our granddaughter Hannah began working here.
They have many kinds of building and household things that are donated by individuals or businesses. In this photo Cerwin and Hezekiah are looking at paint.
A variety of small things like screws and nails.
Hannah at her post at the checkout counter.
She also spends time here - behind the same counter - checking through incoming supplies and pricing them for the floor. On the day we were there the area had many cans of paint. She said each can must be opened to make sure the paint is okay.

There is even a small lending library.
We were impressed with the supplies that were available in this store and even got an idea for a project we will be dealing with next spring or summer when we remove our wall air conditioners.
The profits from each store goes toward the homes that are built by Habitat for Humanity.

We got the booklet when we placed our lawn chairs on the grass in front of the stage on Thursday afternoon.

Diane made ninety-six cakes for their friends Wayne and Betty Chesley to sell at the festival - at their Want-Not-Farm cart.
A mixture of things from their garden and a get well fruit box.
Onions from their garden
Josiah made this "flower" for his mom at the welding shop where he works. Diane added the Sea Lavender that came with a get well bouquet.
Flowers from Lydia - from the greenhouse where she works.
Next I went outside and looked for interesting and pretty things.

Visiting the Myers
A Bluegrass Festival in Maine
When you travel 500+ miles, you see a few of these.
Our grandson Josiah was hoping to surprise his parents and siblings and was in the front passenger seat.
He did surprise each one. There were tears from his dad and mom, squeals of delight from his sisters, and a big hug from his brother.
The view of my favorite driver.
My outside view was from the passenger seat behind Cerwin.
Behind me was luggage, gifts for the Myers, and a bushel of peaches for Ashleigh Horning.
This sign was at the end of their road.
After hugs and delivering everything we brought for them, we caught up on Mark's progress since two hip surgeries - August 6 and 20. Recovery from his first surgery was a bit faster than the second one, but he is progressing nicely.
Supper consisted of Ham & Cheese Ring from their daughter Abigail who recently opened a bakery near our place - along with her sister-in-law Adrielle.
Fresh carrots from their garden.
Fresh red beets from their garden.
Dessert was fresh fruit from a fruit basket given to Mark as a get well gift.
Josiah keeping a close eye on his dad as Mark and Diane leave for therapy.
These brightly colored tires were one of the first things I noticed when we pulled in their driveway. This was Diane's clever way of using up some old tires.
My blogging and computer space at the end of their kitchen table.

Since the bluegrass festival lasts until 10:30 at night, I will blog in the morning for the next few days.
