I pray that you will enjoy the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Rittenhouse Orchard & Garden
Part One
~~~
On Saturday morning while Cerwin and Sam moved the chapel from Franconia Heritage Banquet & Conference Center (location of the previous evening's dinner concert) to Jason Shelly's shop for an afternoon truck show, I enjoyed a photo opportunity in Sam's orchard and garden.
A broad view of the orchard in Sam & Alice's back yard
The border between the orchard and garden. If I remember correctly, Sam's sister Betty cares for the garden.
Tomorrow night I will give you a close-up view of what is left in the orchard at the close of the 2012 season.
It was delightful to walk through the orchard on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Staying in Lansdale Overnight
Friday, September 14
After the banquet we went to Sam & Alice Rittenhouse's place, then walked to their niece's house where we slept overnight.
It was dark, so I took pictures in the morning.
Leaving Sam & Alice's yard and walking toward the house where we slept.
You can see the house where we stayed just beyond the brick house.
In the morning I noticed this beautiful flower during our walk back to Sam and Alice's.
Entering the back yard of Sam and Alice's place.
Sam's delicious coconut, pecan, blueberry pancakes.
Fresh fruit from their orchard.
More tomorrow night.
TFC's Bucks-Montgomery Chapter Banquet
Friday evening, September 14 ~ Continued
With the Bontrager Family from Kalona, Iowa
The younger Bontrager boys - Lincoln, Denver, and Hudson - watch as some of their older siblings sing.
Mother Becky with their three oldest children - Allison, Chelsy, and Mitchell.
Chelsy, Carson, Joshua, Lincoln, Mitchell, Allison, Becky, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Marlin, and Denver. I can's see Hudson, but he appears to be hidden behind Allison and Elizabeth. I think I see his shoes. ![]()
Rebecca and Daddy
The five youngest - Rebecca, Elizabeth, Denver, Lincoln, and Hudson
These six show what it means to cooperate. Notice they are each playing two instruments.
I enjoyed watching Marlin and Becky watching their children.
During the break Bunny O'Hare, Director of Pastor Care for Chaplains, shared a ministry update.
Joshua loves to memorize scripture. On this night he recited Hebrews 11 - all forty verses.
We were truly blessed as we listened to the Bontragers and visited with Marlin and Becky - we sat at the same table.
I hope I got the names right. You can check out their family listing here.
After the banquet, the guests were invited to see the inside of the chapel.
We had lots of visitors.
~~~
It was a great evening.

Do you really love life?
Do you want to be happy?
Then stop saying cruel things and quit telling lies.
