Dennis Beach
Brethren Disaster Relief Auction – Part 6
September 21 & 22
I always find it fascinating to watch Dennis at work – or maybe it’s play.
Notice his website (above his head) if you want to check out his work.
There is a reason that he is surrounded by netting.
He drew lots of attention.
The eagle looks like it could bite him.
Each piece sold at the main auction on Saturday afternoon.
This sold for $350.00.
Love this bench.
Dennis came to the main auction to announce each item as it came up for bid.
This birdfeeder sold for $450.00.
Cardinals carved out of red cedar.
My favorite – the “elk bench” – sold for $875.00.
I can’t imagine being able to do this with a chainsaw.

Beautiful work, Doris — I’d love to have a place big enough for one of those benches!
Wow, Dennis does amazing work. The carvings are awesome. Like you, I really LOVE that Elk Bench. Hope you are having a great week.
@slmret - We would have a place (the pavilion) for some of these items, but I find them too expensive. Maybe one of these years we will break down and buy a large item for there. We have a small hummingbird in our living room that he carved several years ago.
@ShadesOfAnnie - I am so fascinated by people who are talented and skilled in things like this. I am having a great week. How is your week going?
The benches are outstanding! I’ve seen chainsaw carvings before, but these are really excellent ~
@fwren - He does incredible work!
