Birthday Dinner for Cerwin
Monday, April 22
It was a beautiful evening along the Susquehanna River.
If we looked across the river and to our left, we could see Maytown’s water tower and the smoke (center of picture) from Armstrong World Industries which is next to TFC’s International Office.
Walking toward the restaurant.
There is a lot of history – very old history – with this building and location.
We made arrangements to eat on the screened in porch if the weather permitted.
The photos are a bit deceptive, because it was a very cool evening, so we chose to go inside.
There isn’t much in life that is more delightful for me than being with our children. Of course we always miss Mark and Diane (our Maine daughter) on an outing like this.
Chris and Jeff
Deb and Roy
Jere and Kristen
Me and the seventy-two-year-old birthday man.
Our meal started with delicious, hard crusted dinner rolls.
We had a choice of butter or olive oil.
When given that choice – I choose olive oil.
Then, after ordering a few appetizers and our entrees, we were presented cold pea soup – the chef’s choice – for which I am sure there is a correct culinary name.
It was incredibly delicious.
More about our delightful meal tomorrow night.

What a beautiful place — it’s too bad it was too cold to eat outside, but inside looks just as nice. Happy 72 from another 72!
@slmret - It was one of the nicest places I have ever eaten. We decided we will go back when it is warm.
Gorgeous setting ~ interesting soup! Happy Birthday, Cerwin ~
@fwren - It is definitely a place to which we will return.
What a perfect setting to celebrate a special man’s birthday! I would love to visit that Inn and learn about the history. I think I’ve mentioned that my paternal roots are in Lancaster County, and I feel like there is a special connection to it for me, especially the historic side of the area. Looking forward to the rest of the meal!
@AmericanJanet - It was a perfect setting. You can find the history of this place at http://www.accomacinn.com/restaurant/our-history/
Belated happy birthday to Cerwin! What a good-looking 72 he is.
@Juahn - He liked that!
