Josh and Matt Repaired Our Patio Slate
Saturday, May 18
Because our grandson Josh (left) has been studying masonry this year in school, he noticed that the slate entrance next to our patio needed reset.
After we told him to go for it, he brought his masonry school friend Matt to help him with the project.
After several hours, they were satisfied with their job, and so were we. It looks like new again.
Thanks Josh and Matt.
I had planted geraniums and spread some fresh stones in the patio flower beds the day before.
Several weeks earlier I purchased a new bird bath because our old one was leaking.
Last week our son-in-law Roy gave me this new bird house. He knows I like outhouses so it is a perfect fit for our bird feeding area.
I filled my new hummingbird feeder (a Christmas gift from our granddaughter Elizabeth) last weekend as well.

It is satisfying to have the patio area ready for another summer.

It’s beautiful, Doris — how fortunate you are to have such a talented grandson to help with chores like the walkway!
@slmret - Yes, it was so nice to have the slate reset. The stone seemed to become more crooked with each spring, and it was time for the repair.
