We had the pavilion tables decorated and ready by 4 p.m.

I was pleased to find "Ella" balloons.

    1ab (3)

Guests began arriving shortly after 4 p.m.

    1ab (4)

Since we had a large party for her when she turned ninety, we decided to keep this one to family.

    1ab (5)

    1ab (6)

We and Cerwin's siblings provided the food. Cerwin's sister ordered this beautiful carrot cake.

    1ab (7)

Cerwin is Mother's oldest son. I decided to take a picture of each family with mother while Cerwin was grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausage, consequently we almost forgot to have our photo taken with her - and did it just before the party was over.

    1ab (16)

Mel and Velda's son, Donald, was on a mission trip to Alaska. This photo is his wife, Gabi, and their sons Jeremy and Shtefan.

Hob and Arlene Stauffer represented our Minnesota/Wisconsin/Indiana family. Hob and Arlene are the parents of our brother-in-law Robert Stauffer who is married to Cerwin's youngest sister Doris. • What a wonderful celebration!  So special ~

  • This is a wonderful tribute to Mother High, Doris!  She looks remarkably strong for 95.  I hope she's had a magnificent birthday!

  • @fwren - It was a wonderful evening.

  • @slmret - She was glowing for days! It was so much fun to know how much she appreciated the evening.

  • What a wonderful tribute and 95? That's impressive! Wonderful pictures! It looks like everyone had a great time.

  • What a wonderful celebration of 95 years! CONGRATULATIONS Mrs. High! That must have been a r-e-a-l-l-y large party at age 90 -- look at all that family!! It's so wonderful to see family celebrations -- they've almost become a thing of the past with families scattered all over the country and "fractured" families! I remember family reunions when I was a young girl as I had all my grandparents living and 14 sets of aunts and uncles!! Most of them are deceased now but I do keep in touch with some of my 60+ cousins! I have such fond memories as I'm sure your grandchildren will as the years go by -- keep doing what you're doing!!

  • @myhopeisinjesus - Thanks! I love family reunions, birthday parties, and get-togethers.
