Female House Finches
Because of the shadows, I am not sure if these are Gold or House Finches. I think the one on the left is a Gold Finch and the one on the right is a female House Finch. (We have a lot of both.)
I liked how this House Sparrow was stretching to keep an eye on me.

I like when they stay here - on the ground feeders.
I put some stale bread out, and thought maybe a raccoon or skunk was eating it, then saw this neighborhood cat enjoying it for breakfast.
There were so many Canada geese that I could hear them through closed windows and doors.
The close of another day.
Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.
He was even called the friend of God.

Coffee With a Friend
Tuesday, December 4
I never cease to be amazed by a beautiful sunrise.
They are new every morning...
...and change by the moment.
If you look away, you can miss new beauty.
As you can see, by the time my good friend Cookie came at 10:00 a.m. the sun was bright and high in the sky.
Cookie is not her real name - it's Emma Jean - but I learned to know her as Cookie, about forty-five years ago, so it's difficult to call her Emma Jean.
She planned to come a few days after my surgery - and bring something to go with coffee - but that didn't work out. Today she brought this delicious pumpkin roll.
We had a delightful two hours, talking about many things - ranging from family to our faith in the Lord.
A Carolina Wren came to visit shortly after Cookie left.
Then it was time to put the coffee things away and get to my office to set up a newsletter for TFC staff friends - Sam & Alice Rittenhouse.

It was a good day!

Baptizing
Part 2
Anika
Tyrell
Tyrell and Anika with their parents Kevin and Shelia.
Aubrey
With her parents Bob and Nancy.
Kirby was a Christian who chose to join our church and be baptized by immersion.
Kirby and his wife, Joanna
Vernon - also a Christian - chose baptism by immersion.
A baptismal service is a highlight for our church - as it is for many churches - because it is a delight to see young people and those who are not so young make a choice to follow the example of Jesus.
Back at our house we honored Gloria and Ian with a celebration lunch.
Though there was other food, our meal revolved around buttered noodles - Ian's favorite food - and Creamy Italian Chicken - Gloria's choice.
I didn't take many pictures, but we had a delightful afternoon. Granddaughters and those dating grandsons cleared the tables and washed the dishes. Chris, Kristen, Deb, and I decided that we could get used to that!
Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. [Jesus]
