I remember when I was in a hurry to get us out the door, and I was brushing my little girl’s hair. It was full of tangles, and I was pulling. After a few yelps from her, she turned around, took my face in her hands, looked into my eyes and said, “Mommy! Remember gentleness?” I have never forgotten that. I do try to be gentle!
